ICE Raids Expose Massive Fraud at New York Factory: 134 Workers Used Stolen and Dead People’s Social Security Numbers

Newly released bodycam footage from a 2025 ICE operation at Nutrition Bar Confectioners in Cato, New York, lays bare the staggering scale of identity theft and illegal employment plaguing American workplaces.
Homeland Security investigators uncovered that out of 224 employees, at least 134 were using fraudulent Social Security numbers. This included 22 cases where the numbers belonged to deceased U.S. citizens, plus dozens more using mismatched or invalid identifiers. The raid, following an eight-month probe triggered by tips and payroll discrepancies, resulted in 56 detentions and the swift deportation of 50 individuals.

The footage captures federal agents securing the facility, directing workers to the break room, checking documents, and separating those without valid status. Workers are heard expressing confusion and distress in Spanish, with agents calmly enforcing commands while processing the group.

This case highlights how unchecked illegal hiring undercuts American workers, steals from Social Security, and exploits identity fraud on a massive level. Yet no charges have been filed against the factory owners despite clear evidence of widespread irregularities.
Swift enforcement works—deportations happened before activist judges could intervene. It’s time to hold employers accountable and end the abuse of our system. America First means protecting our citizens’ jobs, benefits, and identities.
