R. Kelly has reportedly been removed from solitary confinement at Federal Correctional Institution Butner after an internal review found no evidence of misconduct tied to an investigation that led to his isolation.
The singer had been placed in special housing while prison officials examined a phone number discovered during a cell search that was linked to a retired prison employee. After the review was completed, Kelly was returned to the general prison population.
Kelly remains incarcerated while serving a federal prison sentence of more than 30 years following his convictions in New York City and Chicago on racketeering, sex trafficking, and child exploitation charges.
