PETA founder Ingrid Newkirk released a statement expressing disappointment over the situation.

Newkirk also noted that Kim’s sister, Khloé Kardashian, reportedly gave her own children a dog for Christmas as well, urging the famous family to consider adoption rather than purchasing pets. She suggested that the Kardashians could still make a positive impact by encouraging their children to volunteer at local shelters, sponsoring adoption events, or funding spay-and-neuter initiatives to combat the growing issue of homeless animals.
Despite the backlash, Kim has not publicly responded to the criticism. The controversy comes amid an otherwise glamorous holiday season for the star. Just a day earlier, she shared photos of herself posing in a striking silver corset dress from Thierry Mugler’s vintage 1986 collection. Styled with bold earrings, brown-toned makeup, and a sleek high ponytail, Kardashian posed in front of a Christmas tree alongside her children—North, Saint, Chicago, and Psalm.
